Garvanza - Green Alley ADU Pilot Project

Coming Soon! Pilot Project - Our first Green Alley home has started construction in Garvanza.

This petite ADU studio with attached garage / flex space fronts onto one of Garvanza’s numerous alleys. Located in the heart of the Highland Park-Garvanza HPOZ (Historic District), this new ADU preserves alley character while adding housing density. The original 1923 garage with barn doors has been preserved with a new adjoining 300 SF ADU with large trellis covered patio. Our belief is that the welcoming presence on the alley frontage will foster more housing to be built on LA’s underutilized public alleys. As more housing is added, a wonderful, walkable sustainable Green Alley community will emerge. Residential uses will mix with small cottage businesses and eventually, new permeable paving will be installed to beautify the alley while capturing precious storm water runoff.
