Live/Work SB9 Duplex
A prototype design for an SB9 Lot Split. SB9 is a new state law that promotes housing density by allowing single family zoned lots to be subdivided. Our SB9 design imagines a Live /Work Duplex with lot split where multi-generational families can live /work and thrive. An original single-family home can remain in place at the front of a lot, allowing, for example, an older parent to remain in place while a new duplex is built on the back of a lot, to house extended family. With our SB9 approach, families can stay together and the multi-generational support afforded by more housing units can help keep families strong.
